Clarence “Eddie” Snowden

Clarence Edward Snowden, 77 of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Wednesday August 21, 2024. He was born on July 27,1947 in Tyler, Texas, to Edith Aileen Smith and Clarence Erwin Snowden.

Eddie’s greatest was joy spending time with family, friends and most of all his animals. He had many professional achievements in both commercial and residential construction. Eddie will be remembered for how he enjoyed life and with a fun spirit that always brought laughter to others.  He spent many fun afternoons on the golf course with friends and was a star in his own right playing racquetball at the BPM. He also served the community as President of the YMCA.

He is survived by his two daughters, Carley Holmes and Courtney Snowden; son-in-law, Jimmy Holmes; sister, Mary Crabbe; and three grandchildren, Katherine Holmes, Carolyn Grace Holmes and James Clayton Holmes II.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carol Snowden; and his sister, Donna Snowden Hebert.

He will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

A gathering of Mr. Snowden’s family and friends to honor his life will begin 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 6, 2024, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Haven of Rest, Beaumont. There will be a reception to follow the services at Eddie’s Tavern, 6410 Phelan Boulevard, Beaumont. Livestream Service Link
