Claude Ann Jannise
Claude Ann Jannise, 76, of Nederland, died Friday, September 4, 2020. She was born December 20, 1943, in Beaumont, to Annie Olier Bourque and Claude Bourque.
Claude Ann was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Nederland and worked at the County Mosquito Control Barn for almost twenty years. She also worked many years as a notary. She enjoyed crocheting and traveling; and she collected salt and pepper shakers from everywhere that she traveled to. Claude Ann loved going to car shows and she was a member of Corvair Houston Car Club.
Survivors include her stepchildren, Ricky Jannise and wife, Sally, of Katy; Paul Jannise and wife, Karey, of China; and Stephanie Castleman Hendrix, of Mississippi, formerly Nederland; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Annie and Claude Bourque; sister, Phyllis Rose Lynd; and stepson, Wayne Jannise.
A gathering of Mrs. Jannise’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2020, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., Thursday afternoon at Broussard’s, Nederland, with her interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
