Claudia “Kathleen” Lamb Boudreaux

October 3, 1934 - June 17, 2023

Claudia “Kathleen” Lamb Boudreaux, 88, of Beaumont died Saturday, June 17, 2023, at her residence. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marian Pangle Lamb and Thomas Kelsey Lamb, Sr; brother, James Payton Lamb and his wife, Jan; and sister-in-law, Jane Allen Lamb. Kathleen is survived by her beloved daughter, Kathy Boudreaux and her partner, Ken Brown; brother, Thomas Kelsey Lamb, Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth; eight nieces and nephews, their spouses, children, and grandchildren, and many friends to whom she was grateful for care, love and support.

Kathleen graduated from Beaumont High School, where she later taught art. At the University of Texas, she received a Bachelor of Science in Applied Art and a Master of Fine Art. While teaching for Beaumont Independent School District at elementary and secondary levels she was elected to Delta Kappa Gamma Society and while in graduate school to Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. She taught Art Education at McNeese State University during which time she was active in the Louisiana Art Education Association and served a term as its President.

After twenty years of teaching, she was an officer, inventory and retail manager in the family business, Lamb’s Office Products, until she retired. She was grateful for the opportunity to learn about business operations, retail design and merchandising and was proud of the industry recognition that the company was awarded.

An active member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Kathleen participated in its ministries of prayer, education, visitation, and outreach and was a member of the Order of the Daughters of the King.

She exhibited her artwork locally and had been an active volunteer at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas. In creating art, she found God’s presence in the process and in meditating on Holy Scripture. Her hope was that His Word would be reflected in her work for others to experience. To know and to Love God more and more was a goal of her life.
