Claxton Earl Fowler
Claxton Earl Fowler, 81, of Lumberton, died Friday, September 29, 2023. He was born on April 19, 1942, in Beaumont, to Gwendolyn Pitts Fowler and Jefferson Earl Fowler.
Claxton retired from Southern Pacific Railroad as a conductor after forty years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, old cars, baseball, and chucking rocks. Claxton will forever remain a loving husband and friend to many.
Survivors include his wife of thirty years, Patty Fowler; sister, Linda Sue Eaves and her husband, James, of Lumberton; brother, Richard Fowler and his wife, Kathy, of Kountze; daughters, Jodi Hill of Lumberton and Jeanne Hill and her husband, Joe, of Houston; and several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Fowler; daughter, Lisa Eaves; and sister, Sharon White.
A memorial gathering of Claxton’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
