Cora Janice Wood
Cora “Janice” Wood, 69 years old, passed away on December 16, 2022. Janice was born on September 4, 1953, in Silsbee, to J.C. and Ruby Ard, of Fred, Texas.
Janice is survived by her husband of fifty years, Ricky Wood Sr. of Lumberton; son, Ricky Wood Jr. and his wife, Danita Wood, of Kountze; granddaughters, Alyssa Sorrell and her husband, Bradley, and Erika Wise and her husband, Austin, all of Lumberton; mother, Ruby Ard of Fred; sister, Shelia Lane of Beaumont; great-grandson, Hudson Sorrell of Lumberton, and two expecting great-grandchildren to be born in 2023. Janice was preceded in death by her father, J.C. Ard; sister, Patricia Moore; brother, James Ard.
Janice was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
A gathering of Mrs. Wood’s family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m. with her funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee, with interment to follow at Baker-Bell Cemetery, Fred.
