Curtis D. Powell

Curtis D. Powell, 93, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, December 10, 2024. He was born on November 30, 1931, in Purdon, Navarro County, Texas to Zuma Hardy and Leslie Earl Powell. Curtis was a proud United States Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his children, Curt Powell, Jr. and his wife, Carolyn, of Carrollton, and Brent Powell and his wife, Donna, of Beaumont; daughter, Ginger Jacoby and her husband, Michael, of Wellington, Colorado; grandchildren, Jessica Powell, Gavin Jacoby, Grant Jacoby, Christina Jacoby, Breanna Powell, and Corbin Powell; great-grandchildren, Axel Jacoby and Luke Jacoby; and numerous other family members.

Curtis is preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Barbara Green Powell.

A gathering of Mr. Powell’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2024, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. An additional gathering of family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Dry Creek Bible Church, 8341 LA-113, Dry Creek, Louisiana. His interment will follow at Dry Creek Cemetery, Dry Creek, Louisiana.
