My wife and I have loved Dalton and Ernestine for so many years. Had a lot of good times From the time we went to South Park together and Dalton was delivering Western Union telegrams on his bicycle, until he moved to Florida. Even then we visited by phone often. He was a true friend and will be so missed by all who knew him. Will pray for Ernestine and family in their time of grief

May god open his loving arms for you and sends thought and prayers for all the family members. Mr Byerly was a great man. I was childhood friends with Jessica and his house was always open for us teenagers looking for cold glass of tea. Thank you for all the old golf balls as well. He would give me bags at a time. Also fishing off your back dock on a hot summer day . Thanks for all the memories and hospitality Mr Byerly . Rip and god bless . Douglas

I am so grateful to God for enabling me to be here for a final goodbye to my daddy! I am grieved though my mom, his wife of 69 years cannot be here because of being in the hospital in Florida. I am grateful to my childhood friend, Alan Cathey, for all his help and letting us stay with him while we made arrangements for daddy. I am overwhelmed by all the prayers of our church family and love extended to us at this time. I have ALWAYS held daddy in high regard and I have peace knowing I have honored my parents to the best of my ability. God has been so good to my family! I love you daddy and will miss you terribly! But we will meet again one day in our heavenly home, looking forward to hugging your neck again!

    Jessica Byerly says:

My dad was the wittiest, and most resourceful man. He was funny, loved to entertain people, and wear golf shorts, tanks and slippers on his off time. He read the paper every morning and always had some insight about the headlines of the day.

He had a heart for animals. We had a pack of racoons get through the chimney and ransack the house once and we set traps. We caught one and he was going to shoot it, but it covered its little eyes with its paws, and he just couldn’t do it. He did have heart.

I wish I could be there today, but dont worry, Dad, I will come when I can with those I love and we will talk like we used to, swinging on the back gazebo all those years ago.
I will take all the good with me when I go.
