Dana Lee Hargraves

March 13, 1965 - January 4, 2021

Dana Lee Hargraves, 55, of Fannett went home to Jesus on Monday, January 4, at Christus Southeast Texas-St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Dana was born on March 13, 1965, in Oklahoma City to Sherry Bird and Charles Broyles.

On June 6, 1981, Dana married the love of her life, Robert E. Hargraves. They were both so young and yet they never let go of each other. Their life together was not perfect, but they loved and respected each other through all the trials and tribulations. Dana and Robert’s love was rare, and proof that young love can and does last.

Dana spent her life caring and supporting Robert and their children and grandchildren. She loved having her family and extended family around her and would be the first to step forward to help if anyone needed anything. The legacy of her compassionate spirit will live on in her children and grandchildren.

Dana is survived by her husband, Robert E. Hargraves, son Robert Allen Hargraves, daughter Misty Williams and her husband Cale, and two granddaughters, Shelby Hargraves and Graceyn Williams, all of Fannett. As well as her sisters, Debbie Antilley and her husband Jimmy of Kountze, Donna Whatley and her husband Jerald of Vidor, and Tracy Jordan of Vidor. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sherry Bird and her father, Charles Broyles.

A gathering of Dana’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 pm with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Landrum Cemetery, Fannett.

Aunt Dana, We are all still so shocked over your unexpected passing. I could always look forward to your sweet comments on my social media page. Even though it's been a while since I saw you, I always felt your presence and interest, in what I was doing. I am praying for peace for Uncle Robert, Misty, Allen, and your precious grand daughters. Continue to watch over everyone, as we will never forget you here.
