Danny Joe Hocutt, Sr.

October 11, 1968 - August 17, 2021

Danny Joe Hocutt passed away on Tuesday, August 17th, 2021 at his home in Kountze, Texas. He was 52 yrs. old. Danny was born on October 11, 1968 in Athens, Texas. He graduated from Tatum High School in 1987. While a student there and as a member of Future Farmers of America, he developed a passion and masterful skill within Meat Lab that ultimately led to an invitation to a State Championship and a lifelong professional journey as a Meat Cutter throughout East Texas. He served the last 20 years with H-E-B working most recently in Beaumont. Danny was a person of utmost integrity, relentless enthusiasm and extreme kindness and was an incredible husband, father, brother, and friend that has left this world too soon!

Danny is survived by: his wife: Dena Elder Hocutt his children: Danny Joe(Jaclyn) Hocutt, Kriztian Hocutt and Cody Mullican his grandchildren: Elliot Rogelio, Zane and Zerrick Mullican brother: Donald (Marylin) Hocutt sister: Gina Hocutt brother-in law: Greg Spradley sisters-in-law: Gena Andrus and Carrie Jo Pierce mother-in-law: Paula Spradley special aunts and uncles: Shirley & Don Bevel, Everett & Deanna Berry and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Danny was predeceased by: his daughter: Alecia Hocutt parents: Joe and Diana Hocutt his father-in-law: Joe Spradley grandparents: Eugene and Faye Berry and L.J. “Son” and Della Grace Hocutt brother-in-law: Danny Elder

A gathering of Mr. Hocutt’s family and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Broussard’s Mortuary, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. His cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
