Darlene Marie Janak
Sadly, our beloved Darlene Marie Janak of Beaumont Texas, known for her unwavering strength, faith, love of her children, and resilience, passed away on March 13, 2026.
Darlene was born on February 20,1957 to her parents Lillian Mach Klatt and Albertus Klatt in El Campo, Texas. Darlene attended St. Philip Catholic School and was a graduate of El Campo High School. Darlene studied in Victoria Texas to become a cosmetologist. She worked several different jobs before becoming a stay-at-home mom and homemaker. Darlene was always determined and had a lifelong love for learning and a drive to continue her education. She later earned an Associates Degree from LIT and a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Lamar University.
Darlene was a dedicated wife and loved being a mother and raising her children at home. She always said her children were her purpose and what was most important to her. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and would always say that she loved getting to see her children have children, and that it didn’t get better than that. Darlene’s strong faith in Christ was at the center of her life.
She loved sewing and gardening in her flower beds and was not afraid to take on major projects around her homes in Victoria and Beaumont Texas. She had the amazing gift of filling her surroundings with a sense of warmth and life and could carry on a meaningful and thoughtful conversation with anyone she met.
Darlene will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband Rob Janak of Beaumont; daughter, Dana Howe of Lumberton and her husband, Adam Howe and their daughter, Madilyn; son, Jason Janak of Winnie and Elizabeth Janak and their sons, Jason Tyler, Ethan, Zachary, and Christopher; daughter, Caitlin Beall of Beaumont and her husband, Austin Beall and their daughters, Breanna and Emma; sister, Denise Sickinger of Manvel; and many nieces and nephews.
She is joined in rest by her sweet mother, Lillian Klatt and father, Albertus Klatt; her sisters, Shirley Miller and Marilyn Kucera; and her brother, Albertus “Al” Klatt Jr.

Dear Rob, Dana, Jason, Caitlin and family –
Jim and I were stunned to hear the news about Darlene. We always enjoyed seeing her (and Caitlin too!) at the various Klatt family events. She was a very sweet lady and will be missed by many people. May God provide you comfort and strength now and in the coming weeks and months. Jim and Rilla Chaka (Jim’s mom, Zora was Albertus’ sister).
Darlene was one of the many friends and neighbors we had growing up in our neighborhood. She was so much fun to be around. Prayers of comfort to her family and friends.
I love you Mom! I miss you so much! Such a beautiful and amazing woman inside and out. You were a true blessing to have in my life, and I’m so blessed to called you my mom. Thanks for being you!
