David "D.D." Day
David “D.D.” Day, 73, of Hamshire, died Sunday, April 25, 2021. He was born on November 8, 1947, to Viola “Vicky” Rosalie Rietmann and Thurman Howard Day, in Beaumont, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Day; daughter, Dana Arceneaux and her husband, Justin and son, Chris Day and his wife, Stacey, all of Hamshire; granddaughters, Laney Arceneaux, Zoey Arceneaux, Kenly Arceneaux, Shelby Day, and Abby Day; grandson, Jake Day; and brothers, Boyd Day and Mike Day and his wife, Beth.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Charline Dahlquist and Patty Allen.
A gathering of Mr. Day’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer, Winnie. His funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 29, 2021, at Hope Lutheran Church, 1322 9th Street, Winnie. His interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 701, Winnie, Texas 77665.
We would like to thank the staff with Texas Home Health for the personal care of our family in the last year. We would especially like to thank Shannon, Alicia, Eloise, Erica, and LaToya.
