It wasn’t just a job to him; it was his hobby. Another passion of David’s included cooking. He found great pleasure in cooking meals for loved ones, and many can confirm he could make the best steak there is. His family also has many fond memories of their time spent with David riding four-wheelers on various trails. David also loved Christmas time. He had more Christmas decorations than most, and even continued to buy more every year.

As many know, David loved animals, especially his two dogs. Recently, he started caring for some stray cats outside of his house. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas, 2050 Spindletop Avenue, Beaumont, Texas 77705.

Sandra, Sean, Connor, Mike and Jim, my deepest sympathy. I will always remember the welcoming nature of Dave when I, my husband and grandsons visited. He enjoyed so much putting together a BBQ, so we could all gather and get to know our cousins. May God give you strength through this time of sorrow. Cousin Ruth
