Deborah Kay Bartels

Deborah Kay Bartels, 72, died Friday, September 20, 2024.  She was born on March 8, 1952, to Wanda Wilkerson Sheffield and Roderick Wayne Sheffield.

Survivors include her husband, Owen Bartels, Jr.; children, Randy Ahrlett of Penn; and Stacy Ahrlett of Baytown; Six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Joanna Smith; Denise Trammell, both from Kansas City, Kansas; and Angela Garcia of Houston, and brother, John Allen Garcia of Pasadena.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Alisa Courder.

A gathering of Mrs. Bartels’ family and friends will be 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday, September 23, 2024 at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe Street, Kountze. A graveside service will be 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Votaw Cemetery, Votaw.
