Debra A. Bertrand

September 30, 1956 - July 6, 2020

Debra Arlene Bertrand, 63, of Nederland, died Monday, July 6, 2020, at Christus Southeast Texas – St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on September 30, 1956, in Beaumont, to Twalla E. LeBlanc Gentry and Charles A. Crain.

Debra enjoyed cooking, reading, refurbishing old furniture, and watching the food network channel. She loved her family, friends, her fur baby Izzy, and especially her son, Cory. Debra was a born caregiver and had compassion for the elderly and sick. She took care of several senior citizens during her lifetime.

Survivors include her son, Glenn Cory Gaspard, of Cape Canaveral, Florida; mother, Twalla Gentry, of LaBelle; stepmother Carol Crain, of Tyler; brother, Chuck Crain and his wife, Brenda, of Crystal Beach; sisters, Kimberly Wills and her husband, Bill, of Nederland; Twalla Lynn Faulk and her husband, Darrell, of Nederland; and Dana Matte and her husband, Keith, of LaBelle; Furr Baby, Izzie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Crain.

A gathering of Debra’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2020, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Broussard’s, Nederland, with her interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.

Memorial contributions may be made to LaBelle Baptist Church Building Fund, 9400 FM 365, Beaumont, Texas 77705.
