My friendship with Dee began when she became an interpreter on our church’s mission trip to Mexico in the early 1990’s. We at FBC Vidor came to love her and her sunny disposition! As a ministry assistant myself, I had the duty of calling Baptist Hospital every day to check on our congregation. Of course Dee was the pleasant voice on the other end of the phone. She was so very helpful and wonderful to work with. We both had a love for the Honduran people and she often prayed with and for me. I will surely miss my friend!! Prayers for her family.
Dee and I meet back in 2003 when she worked part time in the evening at Lifeway Christian Bookstore. It was a privilege to her on our team. Blessed to call her my friend and sister in Christ. Precious memories! See you again Sister!
So sorry for the passing of my dear friend Dee. I still can’t believe it. I love her so much. I will never forget her or her funny little way of doing things. Such a unique person and friend.
Praying for peace and comfort for all.
