Dee, also known as He-He to her grandchildren, will be greatly missed. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She was a teacher for over 30 years at East Chambers and a speech therapist. Dee had a passion for teaching children and made a difference in so many lives. She loved singing in the choir at church and playing the piano. She loved playing tennis and being with family and friends. She will always ‘love us more’. We love you mom!

Dee, you were such an important part of my life, We grew up together and shared so many good times, Playing Monopoly and card games was really fun but mostly we just loved to be together. We shared love, laughter, and tears as we went about our lives, and now you are the lucky one. To be absent from the body is to be in the presence of the Lord, Look for me. I won't be far behind you, With all my heartfelt love, Shirlene L. Smith
