Della L. “Nana” Colley

March 29, 1934 - July 12, 2025

Della Lora Colley, “Nana”, 91, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025. She entered into Heavenly rest to join her sweetheart, and continuing to praise their Lord and Savior. Born on March 29, 1934, in Whipple, West Virginia, to her beloved parents, Ada and John White.

Devoted wife, mother, and Nana, her family is what made her face beam. A warm home and warm heart are what she built, extending hugs and kisses to all. She was happiest with a house full, especially around the table playing games. Della enjoyed crosswords and crafts. While tinkering with her hands was a favorite, especially arts and crafts, Della enjoyed crossword puzzles and was an avid football cheerleader, from college ball to NFL. Besides her home, church service was her heart’s call. From the nursery, VBS, WMU, BSU at Lamar University, and Hospitality committee, reaching people with the Lord’s word brought her joy. The “littles” were a treasure.

Della is preceded in death by her parents, many brother and sisters, and her loving husband of seventy-two years, William “Bill” Colley.

Survivors include her three daughters, Gloria Jeanie Youngblood, and her husband, Bennie A. Jr., of Beaumont; Donna Sue Farley, and her husband, Joe, of Hurricane, West Virginia;  and Teresa Ann Potter and her husband, Shawn, of Beaumont; seven grandchildren, Alicia Dawn Colley; Joshua Allen Youngblood and his wife, Sarah; Christina Michelle Farley; Brandon Shawn Farley and his wife, Alison; James Matthew Potter and his wife, Jessica; Lora Anne Potter; and Shawn Michael Potter and his wife, Chrissy; thirteen great-grandchildren, Christian, Jacob, Emily, Mackenzie, Jaden, Matti Jo, Parker, Codi, Wyatt, Ethan, Taylor, Nadya, and Nikolai; along with numerous loved ones, friends, and extended family throughout the years.

The family would like to extend an extra special thank you to Altus Hospice and their excellent team, including but not limited to, Mikey, RN, Mrs. Cassandra, Mrs. Sue, and Sandra, RN. The compassion exuded blessed this family beyond measure. We are all touched by their kindness and “healing hands.” Truly a Godsend!
