Delores Ann Barrow

April 26, 1945 - July 16, 2024

Delores Ann Barrow, 79, of Silsbee, died Tuesday, July 16, 2024. She was born on April 26, 1945, in Silsbee, to Fannie Irene Travis Scott and Arby Scott.

In her early days of childhood Delores enjoyed playing by the creek, swimming, and catching fireflies with her siblings Gene, Raymond, and Shelia. She later met the love of her life, Sam, in the early years of high-school. They were blessed with four beautiful children; Pam, Ottis, Don, and Becky. Delores and Sam shared sixty-three years of a wonderful marriage together. Delores had many hobbies, but she especially loved to paint, crochet, and bake. She will be remembered for her kindness and endless desire to serve the lord.

Survivors include her husband, Samuel Lowell Barrow, of Silsbee; children, Pamela Kay Oliver of Lufkin; Ottis Olan Barrow and his wife, Brenda, of Silsbee; and Becky Blythe and her husband, Harold, of Sam Rayburn; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; sister, Shelia Crain and her husband, David, of Evadale; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fannie and Arby Scott; son, Donald Samuel Barrow; brothers, Gene and Raymond Scott; and son-in-law, Joseph Arthur Oliver.

A gathering of Mrs. Barrow’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 19, 2024. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her interment will follow at R.S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery, Silsbee.
