Delores Hill

November 18, 1938 - February 4, 2025

Martha Delores Hill, lovingly known as Delores, passed away peacefully at her home in China, Texas, on the night of February 4, 2025, at the age of 86.

Born and raised in the greater Beaumont area, Delores dedicated her life to caring for others. She worked in nursing and was most fondly remembered as the beloved school nurse in the Hardin-Jefferson School District, where she provided comfort and care to countless students over the years.

A devoted Christian, Delores found great joy in her faith and cherished her time attending services and volunteering at Meeker Baptist Church. Her greatest pride, however, was her family—especially her grandchildren. She was a steadfast supporter in all their endeavors, and her grandsons, Seth and Travis, fondly recalls that she never missed a single one of Seth’s baseball games, or a single one of Travis’s football games. For both of her grandchildren she was always a treasured source of support, comfort, and much needed wisdom.

Delores was preceded in death by her loving husband, Josh Leonard Hill; her parents, Christine McLeod and G.W. McLeod; and her daughter, Winona Coe.

She is survived by her son, Josh Lloyd Hill; her grandsons, Seth Hill, and his wife, Sydney Hill, and Travis Coe.

Delores’ kindness, faith, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed but forever cherished.

Memorial contributions may be made to Meeker Baptist Church, 575 North Meeker Road, Beaumont, Texas 77713.

A gathering of Delores’ family and friends to celebrate her life will begin 9:30 a.m. with her funeral service at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at China Cemetery, China.
