Dennis Albert Holmes

December 18, 1952 - March 8, 2025

Dennis Albert Holmes, 72, of Lumberton, died Saturday, March 8, 2025. He was born on December 18, 1952, in Beaumont, to Betty Jean Greer Holmes and Eugene Delano Holmes.

Survivors include his children, Londen Holmes, Katelyn, and Caleb, all of Wildwood; mother, Betty Holmes of Lumberton; brothers, Gary Holmes and his wife, Susan, of Colmesneil; Kenneth Holmes and his wife, Pamela, of Silsbee; and Adam Holmes and his wife, Michele, of Connecticut; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A gathering of Mr. Holmes’ family and friends will be 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.

    I met Dennis when I moved to Warren 22 years ago and he installed my water well. He was ALWAYS good to me and there when I called and I considered him a close friend. He was an Excellent human being and will be missed.

    I’m so sorry to hear about Denny Man, Although we were not close growing up him and I made up for it as adults, at one time we was inseparable he was my roommate, dance partner and bowling team leader.

    Dennis was a dear friend. I have known him for many years . We used to follow the band he sang and played with to all of the clubs and different places they played in. Dennis was a kind and gentle man. He was fun to be around and would do anything for anyone in need. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I will never forget him.
