DeWayne Stratton, 78, of Winnie, died Tuesday, July 1, 2025. He was born on January 13, 1947, in Anahuac, to Georgia Christine Sawyer Stratton and Louis Pitt Stratton.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene Stratton; daughter, Angela Stratton Grant; sons, Alan Wayne Burgess and wife, Beth and Christopher Lee Williams and wife, Jordan; five grandchildren, Katelyn Grant, Bailey Burgess, Christopher Lee Williams, Jr., Austin Mark Williams, and Anna Lee Burgess; two step-grandchildren, Derek Grant and Nicole Grant;  seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Daniel Augusta Stratton and his wife, Rosie; and numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Christine and Pitt Stratton; siblings, Clara Mae LaComb, Louis Ray Stratton, Florence Melissa Richey, and Robert Boston Stratton.

A gathering of Mr. Stratton’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. with his funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive, Winnie.
