Dinah Lee Landry
Dinah Lee Landry, 65, of Nederland, entered eternal rest Friday, December 11, 2020, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. She was born February 11, 1955, in Port Arthur, to Lillie Hackney Thomas and Marvin Lee Thomas.
Dinah retired from IBM, formerly AT&T. She was an avid crafter. She enjoyed photography and tending to her many indoor plants and fur babies, Finn and Cocoa.
She was a devoted wife to her husband of forty-seven years, whom she married just before her eighteenth birthday. She was very proud of the life they created. Dinah enjoyed spending time at the lake house they bought together and always invited family and friends to join them. She also loved traveling and for her sixty-fifth birthday and forty-seventh wedding anniversary this year, she and her husband took a well-deserved trip to Disney World. She adored every moment of that trip and made unforgettable memories.
Dinah was a cherished “Gram” to her five grandchildren who made her world go round. She spent evenings, weekends, and all hours of her time traveling to watch each one in their various activities. She was their biggest supporter.
She will always be remembered for how much she loved and cared for her family. There was not a moment that she wasn’t thinking about them, worrying about them, creating something for them, taking care of them, or just being there for them. Her greatest gift was always making sure her family knew they could count on her for anything in the world. Dinah leaves behind a legacy of compassion, generosity, and love.
Survivors include her husband, Corbet Blane Landry, of Nederland; children, Jeremy Blane Landry and wife, Beth, of Pearland and Shane Lee Landry and wife, Karen, of Nederland; grandchildren, Ethan Landry and fiancé, Hannah Hughes; Heidy Landry, all of Nederland; Layni Landry; Ella Landry; and Alec Landry, all of Pearland.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lillie and Marvin Thomas; mother-in-law, Rosemary Landry; father-in-law, Corbet Joseph Landry; and brother-in-law, Michael DeCoux.
A graveside service for Mrs. Landry will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches, gathering at the gazebo, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. The family asks that everyone please wear a mask to the service, adhere to the social distancing guidelines, and follow the distancing instructions given for attendance of the service.

I worked at the phone company with Dinah for many years. Anytime we had computer issues her first question was always did you restart the PC? To this day I still refer to restarting a computer as the “Dinah restart.†She will be greatly missed by all who were a part of her life. My prayers to the family for comfort and peace.
