Dolores “Dee” Marie Doucet

October 16, 1928 - March 2, 2023

Dolores “Dee” Marie Doucet, 94, of Port Arthur, died March 2, 2023. She was born October 16, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, to Rose Maria Richter Furth and Matthew Aloysius Furth.

Survivors include her children, Craig Michael Doucet; Paul Elridge Doucet; Phyllis Ann Doucet; and Guy Matthew Doucet; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Patricia Trahan.

A Memorial Mass for Ms. Doucet will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 27, 2023, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland. Her cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.

    Wish I had known sooner; I would have attended her funeral. I have good memories of attending prayer meetings and conferences with Dee. Such a sweet saintly lady. Loved her! I know she is enjoying her eternal reward in heaven. Peace of Christ be with you all.

    I first met Ms. Dee at St Charles Women’s group and we became fast friends in Christ. She was such an inspiration and always joyful and smiling. She definitely spread her infectious love of The Lord and our Catholic Faith daily and generously. I know she is enjoying her reward!

    I went to St Charles with Dee. She was an amazing woman & devoted her life to Chris!! She always had a beautiful smile on her face!! I loved just spending time with her!! She be missed by so many!!! Will keep her family in my prayers!!!

    Dee so loved God, that she desired to study about him by enrolling into theological studies. Even so, she caught up with desire of the God of faith. May she embrace him now eternally and find rest in him whom she so loved and desired.
