Don Garland Hawthorne

Don Garland Hawthorne, 72, of Silsbee, died Friday, November 13, 2020.  He was born on November 10, 1948, in Kirbyville, to Ema Harper Hawthorne and Don Lee Hawthorne.  Don proudly serviced his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era.

Survivors include his son, Barron Lee Hawthorne, of Corpus Christi; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Hawthorne, of Silsbee; siblings, Sharion Richards and husband, Jack, of Friendswood; Kathy Hawthorne Ridgway, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Jerry Hawthorne and wife, Connie, of Silsbee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, “Tiny” Hawthorne; son, Don Matthew; and brother, Joe Hawthorne.

Mr. Hawthorne’s graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 15, 2020, at R.S. Farmer Cemetery, Silsbee, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
