Donald Corgey
Donald N. Corgey, 89, of Beaumont, died Sunday, January 26, 2020, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born to Amy Ineta Lowery Corgey and Harvey Neille Corgey, on March 15, 1930, in Houston. Donald was a United States Army Veteran and worked for Gulf States (now Entergy) from 1954 to 1994. He retired as a relay analyst.
Donald is survived by his wife, Susan Corgey; and son, Robert Taylor, both of Beaumont; brother, Bobby Corgey, of New Caney; sister, Mary Kinsey and her husband, Wayne, of El Lago; grandchildren, Samantha Lindsay, of The Woodlands; numerous nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Gloria Powell, of Deer Park.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Charles Corgey; and sister, Elaine Depew.
A gathering of Mr. Corgey’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 30, 2020, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

Don impacted our lives in such a major way. He hired my husband, Mike Murdock, back in 1985 in the Relay Department at Gulf States. Don changed our lives forever! He has been such a kind, amazing friend to Mike throughout the years. It has been such an honor knowing Don Corgey. He will be greatly missed.

I remember him as being kind, patient, with a hint of a smile always on his face. Looking at the video I realize how happy he made you and for that I am so grateful .
