Donald Leger

July 12, 1943 - January 19, 2023

Donald Adam Leger, 79, of Beaumont, died Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Gilbert’s Assisted Living, Beaumont. He was born July 12, 1943, in Gueydan, Louisiana, to Ella Terro Leger and Nolan Leger.

Donald is survived by his wife, Ella Leger, of China; sister, Pearl Leger Campbell and her husband, Leon “Happy”, of Fannett; Ida Leger Soileau and her husband, Wilton, China; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents Nolan and Ella Leger and brother, Rustin “Rusty” Leger.

A Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m., with a gathering of Mr. Leger’s family and friends to follow until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 27, 2023, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 245 US-90, China, with his interment to follow at China Cemetery, China. A celebration of life will follow at Beaumont Elks Lodge #311, 11431 Highway 90, Beaumont, immediately following his interment.

    I meet Donald Leger in 1992 in Fla . Where came to work a storm which at the time I had never meet him but was ask to help him to learn to handle claim from John Fontenot who I was a friend with . Me and Donald stayed together for about 5 weeks and I worked with him and got him going and help him get a job working as adjuster and he was a vert good kind hearted person and a very good man . Then we meet again in 1994 in Ca. and we help each other out when we needed some help . My he rest in peace today with our good Lord Jesus Christ
