Donetta S. Parsley, 84, of Evadale, died Thursday, October 17, 2024. She was born on April 14, 1940, in Dayton, to Berniece Alexander Simmons and Virgil Simmons.

Survivors include her children, Donna Campbell and her husband, Gary, of Evadale; James Parsley and his wife, Karen, of Sour Lake; Mike Parsley of Evadale; and Sheryl Harmon and her husband, Donald, of College Station; grandchildren, Nicole Leger and her husband, Joseph, of Houston; George Campbell and his wife, Jamie, of Jackson, Georgia; Colleen Baker and her husband, Keaton, of Silsbee; Karyl-Anne Hebert and her husband, Jimmy, of Silsbee; Kevin Parsley of Dallas; and Ethan Harmon of College Station; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sharon Simmons of Dayton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lindburgh Parsley; sister, Barbara Ann Simmons; and brother, Virgil (Duke) Simmons.

A gathering of Mrs. Parsley’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery, Buna.
