Donna Boring

September 7, 1942 - March 13, 2023

Donna “Dutch” Boring, 80, of Silsbee, died Monday, March 13, 2023.  She was born on September 7, 1942, in Enterprise, Oklahoma, to Georgetta Krouse Pierce and William Pierce.

Dutch enjoyed cards and dominoes and she loved to cut up and make folks laugh.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and MawMaw.

Survivors include her sons, Michael Mitchell and his wife, Judy, of Deer Park; Dudley Mitchell and his wife, Theresa, of Spurger; and Kyle Boring of Silsbee; daughters, Cynthia Schaefer and her husband, Stanley, of Lumberton and Sylvia Flowers and her husband, Terrell, of Silsbee; grandchildren, Derek, Tosha, Jenifer, Joshua, Trenton, Kody, Dustin, Richard, Jacob, Corey, and Mason; twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Nesbitt and his wife, Laura, of Silsbee; sisters, Sharon Coplon of Silsbee; Betty Carroll of Fred; Jorena Cravey and her husband, Prentice, of Silsbee; Karen Bryan and her husband, Delbert, of Fred; and Cheryl Martindale and her husband, David, of Buna; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of over forty years, Dudley Boring; grandson, Matthew Schaefer; and sisters, Jackie Dean and Wilma Lazenby.

A gathering of Mrs. Boring’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  Her interment will follow at Good Samaritan Cemetery, Fred.

    I have many fond memories of Donna. I’d see her at family gatherings and shopping at Walmart. She always had a smile on her pretty face. We were co-mothers -in- law.

    Dutch was a beautiful soul,just waiting on her wings to be ready before interning Heaven.She will be forever loved and missed.She had great courage thru life’s journey never losing hope,for she knew a King who could make the impossible, possible.My heart hurts for her children, grandchildren,great grandchildren and her siblings prayers are with all you.
