Donna Gail Irving

November 5, 1962 - April 5, 2023

Donna Gail Irving, 60, of Lumberton, died Wednesday, April 5, 2023. She was born November 5, 1962, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Lois Pittman Corrigan and Patrick John Corrigan.

Donna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great cook and loved animals, especially horses. She was married to her husband, Richard, for nearly three decades who she loved dearly. Often times she had five-plus kids in the house, but she loved the craziness. Outside of wrangling children and the household- her biggest passion was horses. From an early age born and raised around them, to eventually making a business out of it. She eventually passed that passion along to her daughter, Summer and her granddaughter, Caylee. She was the most at peace when she was taking care of the animals. There was not a time when there wasn’t twenty barn cats, four dogs, horses, fish and even hamsters. The house was always completely filled to the rim with animals and children. She loved having all the family over for holidays and cooking for the ones she loved. She passed her love for cooking on to her son, Chase, who was always in the kitchen along side of her. Her grandkids were the joy of her life and were always making her laugh. She was too young to go but she is now in a place where cancer cannot go. She is now at peace and without pain. We will see you again. We love you Mama/Nanny.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Irving; sons, Blake Carter; Colton Carter; Chase Dungan and wife, Meagan; daughters, Summer Irving and Autumn Irving; mother, Lois Corrigan; brother, Keith Barkwell; half-sister, Sabrina Barkwell; grandchildren, Caylee Dungan; Colin Dungan; and Scarlett Blackledge; and numerous extended family and friends.
