Donna Louise Leger
Donna Louise Leger, 69, died Tuesday, May 16, 2023. She was born May 22, 1953, in Beaumont, to Goldie Mae Phelps and Louis Joseph LeJune.
She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Phend and her husband, Danny, and Rayetta Hunter and her husband, Keith; grandchildren, Rusty Phend, Dianne Whittington and her husband, Dalvin, Alex Gremillion and her husband, Andrew, Aaron Strickland, Allen Strickland, Allisa Allen and her husband, Chris, Dustin Hunter, Gage Hunter, Wrainy Hunter; great-grandchildren, Layton Phend, Carter Phend, Kinzington Phend, Remi Harris, Oliver Whittington, Frankie Whittington, Ari Gremillion, Little A.J. Strickland, Allyson Strickland, Aaron Allen Jr., Addyson Allen; and siblings, Delbert LeJune, Lyvonne Simon, Beth Day and her husband, Mike.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents and husband, A.J. Leger.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to UTMB Galveston staff.
A gathering of Mrs. Leger’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 22, 2023, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Cornerstone Church, 3810 Highway 124, Winnie. Her interment will follow at Broussard’s Cemetery, Fannett.

We are so sorry for your loss. Donna was a beautiful, sweet and caring person. May God send all of you comfort knowing she is walking with the Lord in Heaven and is happy and well.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Donna was such an awesome woman. She walked the walked and talked the talk in her faith. She loved God 1st, then family, then friends. She will always be remembered as the Candy Lady at Cornerstone Church.
