Donna Marie De Haven

April 11, 1961 - August 28, 2021

Donna Marie De Haven, 60, was a bright and beautiful soul that was taken from us on August 28, 2021, in Beaumont, Texas, at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Donna was originally from Passaic, New Jersey. She was always crafting, cooking, and especially loved creating something new. Donna was an incredible Wife, Mother, Daughter, and Nana. Her heart was made of gold and most definitely impacted everyone she has come across in her lifetime. Over the years, there have been many bonus kids that have come from many different circumstances and called her “Mom.” She always told them how it was and never held back, but they loved her for it. Donna married her high school love, Martin De Haven, 42 years ago, and were still immensely in love like the day they got married. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved every minute she spent with them. If it were up to her, Donna would have purchased a beach house and spent everyday with her toes in the sand.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Martin De Haven, Jr.; her daughters, Nicole Young, Shannon Fawvor, Tia Steffey, Michelle Moniz, Enola Walker, and Jenny Green; her mother, Betty Murphy; her sister, Debbie Meeder; brother, Edmund Wachtler, Jr.; her grandchildren, Logan Radford, Kolten Powell, Alexis Johnson, Cydnee Young, Devyn De Haven, Parker Steffey, Cash Fawvor, and Autumn and Adalyn Young; her sons-in-law, Travis Young, Corey Fawvor, and Terry Steffey; adopted son, Chris Read; as well as many more adopted children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Nan and Pap Bond; her father and mother-in-law, Martin De Haven, Sr. and Florence De Haven; her father, Edmund Wachtler; and grandson, Martin De Haven III.

A gathering of Mrs. De Haven’s family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 3, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.
