Doris “Cookie” Clubb Straw, 79, of Sour Lake, died Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Mid Jefferson Extended Care, Beaumont. She was born on August 22, 1941, in Fannett, to Juanita Josephine LeBlanc Clubb and Vaughn Clubb.

Survivors include her sisters, Jean Wagner and her husband, James, of Channelview; Juanita Dorman, of Winnie; Glenda Lorcannia, of Port Acres; and Susie Wilson and her husband, Kenneth, of Sour Lake; brother, Mack Clubb, of Beaumont; friend and caretaker, Margie Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Delbert Straw; brothers, Douglas; Alvin; B.B.; Kirby; and Paul Clubb; and sister, Merle McBride.

A gathering of Mrs. Straw’s family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., with a Rosary recited at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at Broussard’s, Beaumont, with her interment to follow at Landrum Cemetery, Fannett.
