Dorothy Louise Christian

Dorothy Louise Christian, 82, of Silsbee, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on January 28, 1939, in Houston, to Beatrice Moore Wideman and Willie Edwin Wideman.

She is survived by her children, Billy Benefield and wife Audrey, of Ashdown, AR and Nan Nugent, of Silsbee; grandchildren, Billy Benefield Jr., of AR, Hanson Nugent Jr., of Silsbee and Stephanie Davis and husband Daniel, of Nashville, AR; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oran Talbert Christian; and sister, Mary Wood.

A gathering of Mrs. Christian’s family was held at 9:00 a.m., Friday, September 10, 2021, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  Her committal followed at 11:00 a.m., at Hardin Memorial Park, Silsbee.
