Dorothy Louise Reed
Dorothy Louise Reed, 76, of Nome, died Sunday, May 3, 2026. She was born on February 13, 1950, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, to Gertrude Burinski and Harold Moyer. Dorothy worked as a CNA in nursing homes for thirty years, and she loved spending time with her grandkids.
Survivors include her children, Diane Maguire and her husband, Jacob, of Nome; Matthew Reed and his wife, Alyssa Schmitz, of Nebraska City, Nebraska; and Nicholas Reed of Nome; grandchildren, Mackenzie Cooper and her husband, Lyndell; Travor Maguire and his wife, Amber; Ryder Maguire; Alexa Reed; Tyler Reed; Jadyn Reed; and Connor Reed; great-grandchildren, Jaxtyn, Ryan, Harlie, Kase, Lennox, Chelsie, Brentley, and Declan; and siblings, Harvey Moyer, Kenny Moyer, Judy Vaughan, Marlene Moyer, and Bonnie Gomez.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael Reed; and brothers, Ed Moyer, Larry Moyer, and John Moyer.
Cremation arrangements for Mrs. Reed were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
She was always a beautiful person.In are young years we spent a lot of time together her dad and my dad were brothers. We lived next door to each other as young kids tell her dad moved to the farm It sad as over the years we seen less of each other.If we went to Nebraska City we would see her and the family It sad but we drifted apart we lived to far away the rest of our life and had family’s You will always be the little blonde girl in the white dress that I play with as a child.Miss you cousin.
