Dorothy Lea Watson

Dorothy Lea Watson, 98, of Bevil Oaks, died Thursday, October 1, 2020, at Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on September 2, 1922 to Lillian Joyce Landers Gay and Oliver Harrison Gay. Dorothy was a cashier at Kroger in Gateway Shopping Center for sixteen years and a longtime member of the Apostolic Church in Beaumont.

Survivors include her son, Gary Watson and his wife, Audrey, of Bevil Oaks; grandson, Jeremy Watson, of Beaumont; great-grandchildren, Jesse Watson, Lilly Watson, and Jade Watson; nieces, Linda Kidd and Shirley Abbo; nephew, Arnold Kidd; niece, Diane Peterman; and nephew, Donald Kidd.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard S. Watson.

A gathering of Mrs. Watson’s family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by her funeral service at 10:00 a.m, Monday, October 12, 2020, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Holly Grove Cemetery, Livingston.
