Douglas “Doug” Beeson

Douglas “Doug” Beeson, 70, of Buna, formerly of Dripping Springs, died Friday, April 1, 2022, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born July 17, 1951, in Dundee, Michigan, to Mary Allison Beeson and Gorman Beeson.

Doug served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He loved anything gardening, building and enjoyed playing the guitar with his son or taking pictures with his daughter. Cooking was another of his favorite past times along with traveling across the country and over Europe.

He is preceded in death his parents, Gorman and Mary Lou Beeson.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Beeson of Buna, Texas; son, Shawn Beeson and wife, Vanessa, of Austin, Texas; daughter, Stephanie West and husband, Ronnie, of Buna, Texas; brother, George K. Beeson and wife, Cindy, of Bulverde, Texas; 6 grandchildren, Brennan, Chelsey, Jessica, Luke, Dakota and Devin; and 6 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service for Mr. Beeson will be at 11:15 a.m., Friday, April 22, 2022, at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 can be made in Douglas Beeson’s name.
