Dear Michael,
Our hearts are heavy. We can’t stop thinking about you and all the wonderful times we got to share with you over more than 4 decades. Thank you for all the 6am workday phone calls and thanks for coming over at 6am on Friday mornings for a cup of coffee and the boudin kolaches when you were helping out at the clinic down the street from our Houston home.
Thank you for the weekends with Jim, Earnie and me – full of guitar playing , good food, and the humor.
The list is too long of the memories we have with you. There are no words to describe how much we will miss you.
You will forever be our dear friend and in our hearts.
With love,
Marcus and Lorraine

Mike and I’s friendship began at Lamar then we both went to Houston for dental school. Mike was a friendly guy, always willing to help, a great student and obviously a smart cookie too. Fortunately for me, after graduation, I ended up back in Southeast Texas where Mike became my go to doctor for all my endodontic cases. Mike was great at what he does and got so busy that he came to my office on day and trained my staff and me to do some of my own root canals till he could catch up. Mike was very generous like that. He did a lot of charity dentistry here locally and oversees. Many a tooth was saved by Mikes skill and expertise. Southeast Texas has been blessed to have Dr Jeansonne caring for us. RIP buddy. You will be missed.
Sad to learn of Mike’s passing. I treated Mike and his parents and always enjoyed seeing them.
My prayers are with his family.

Hated to hear about the passing of Mike. Mike was a good man and a great endodontist. Years ago I ran into Mike at Target. He had a shopping cart filled with blue. jeans of all sizes and shapes for both women and men of all ages. I asked him what he was going to do with all the jeans. He stated that he was going on a dental mission in a week to a underprivileged country. He planned to fill two suitcases with as many jeans as possible for the people. His plan was to come back to the states with 2 empty suitcases and the clothes on his back. A good memory of a good man. Rest in Peace my friend.
Remember you from St Pius CCD, 50 yrs ago. Rest in peace.
Angie and family. I am sorry for you loss. May God give you strength at this time of need
I spent many hours with Mike playing tennis at the French High courts all those years ago in high school. I haven’t seen Mike in a long while, but I believe the last time I saw him was at our tenth class reunion, where he told my husband that he loved me and that he was very lucky to be married to me. He was a sweet guy and we had a lot of fun together. My prayers go out to his siblings.
I was very sad to hear of Michael’s passing. He was a dedicated and talented colleague. We will miss him dearly. My prayers for all the family.
Dr M was a great guy I met him when he was in Lamar University. He would come to my office to do lab work and ask questions about dentistry. He was a great endodontist He loved his work and we were lucky to have him in the dental community May you rest in peace
I remember my days of working with him in Dr. Broussard’s office fondly.
I hope you can finally rest peace .
I thought it was a mistake whn I heard of Mike’s passing. I cannot believe he’s gone & know he will be missed by all who loved & knew him. Mike was a complex man & sometimes misunderstood, but he was a kind & generous man. He also loved the work he did & was the best at it (he also loved his guitars, especially the Gipson’s). I have so many wonderful memories of him that I will forever cherish.
Angie & family, my deepest condolences to you all.
Forever in my heart-
I love you Mike

As I read Mike’s story, I’m amazed at his generosity. Even in high school, I knew him to be kind but had no idea just how far he went to take care of others. I haven’t seen Mike in many years but feel such a sense of loss and sadness. Prayers for his family and those close to him. He will be missed. However, I know he’s with Jesus and reunited with his parents. Hopefully, our high school friend, Frank was there to greet him as well.
Dr. Jeansonne, who always said “just call me Michael” was one of the most generous people I’ve come across in my time on this earth. His compassion for and what he did to help those who were trying to better their lives is rare. I will be forever grateful that God put him in my path. He was a professional and also a great friend. My deepest condolences to all those who knew him.
