Dr. Robert “Bob” Wilson

May 6, 1939 - September 10, 2025

Dr. Robert “Bob” Wilson, 86, of Beaumont, lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.  He passed peacefully at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, surrounded by the love of family and friends.

He was born in Ravenna, Ohio on May 6, 1939, to Ruby Guest and Ward Wilson. He grew up in Pulaski, Virgina, and after high school, attended Hiram College on a basketball scholarship.  He was called to service in the US Army and Army Reserves, then returned to Ohio to work with his father in law enforcement.

He earned his first Doctorate in Podiatric Surgery at Case Western Reserve, then his Doctorate in Chiropractic at Western States University in Portland, Oregon.  He moved to Beaumont in 1993, opening the practice that would become Wilson Chiropractic.

Dr. Bob never met a stranger. He loved to talk to people and was truly interested in their lives.  He knew a little bit about a lot of things, never failing to be able to carry on a conversation about literally anything.

He loved being a doctor. He had a genuine love for his patients, with many becoming lifelong friends.  He would guide his patients through the office on his arm, his typical request for the assistants “Table for one, wine list, no smoking”.

Dr. Bob has touched many lives over the course of his lifetime.  He was a dedicated father and husband.  He was an Eagle Scout and lifelong supporter of Boy Scouts of America.  He was a member of the Tolerance Masonic Lodge. He had a strong faith in God, and was a member of Victory Temple.

Dr. Bob enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending time with his family. He loved animals of all kinds. He never took himself too seriously. He loved jokes and loved to laugh. He was a self-identified jack-of-all-trades, an “all-around good egg”.

Survivors include his wife, Dr. Jennifer Wilson; daughters, Michelle Austin of Florida, Heather Lane of Tennessee, Kelly Ward of Ohio, and Dr. Molly Wilson of San Antonio; son, Michael “Mike” Kotecki of Crossville, Tennessee; brother in law David Smith (Meghan), sister in law Amy Drury (Jon), beloved nieces and nephews, and many close friends who will miss him dearly.

A gathering of Dr. Wilson’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 12, 2025, Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. I met Dr. Bob in 1993 after being involved in a rear end collision. I went to several doctors and hospitals and said there were nothing wrong. I met Dr. Bob and he immediately found all my injuries and treated them. I then recovered from my injuries. I then seen him off and on for the next 32 years. He always took time out for me and became a long term friend. He was truly a kind hearted and caring man. He cared for everyone he met with patience and kindness. We will truly miss you Dr. Bob. May you rest in peace. Your friend bye.

    Anderson Family says:

The Anderson and Hahn families are grieving the loss of a very dear person who we felt of as family. We have lost a person who adopted our family many years ago, along with other families I am sure. “Doc” was that type of person who loved to help people , no matter who they were or what type of person they were. Whether you were a patient, a friend, a church goer, a person in need, or someone he just met, he loved people. As a doctor for many years, this gave him the knowledge to help many people. There was many a day that he, my wife, myself, communicated by text , checking on each other exchanging ideas about life, health and everyday issues. As we grieve this loss, we know God will open his arms and take care of him and comfort Jen and the family. We love you and will miss you “DOC”, Greg and Karen, Roger, Amy and the boys
