Draden Wayne Ard
Draden Wayne Ard, 20, of Lumberton, died Friday, February 14, 2025. He was born on October 6, 2004, in Beaumont, Texas, to Jennifer Jane Welch Ard and Irvin Wayne Ard, II.
Survivors include his mother, Jennifer Ard of Lumberton; father, Irvin Ard and his wife, Connie; siblings, Dillon Welch and his wife, Audrey; Dathan Ard; and Braley Ard, all of Lumberton; Dolton Coleman and his fiancé, Danica Romero, of Nederland; and Kensie Ard; Ethen Ard and his fiancé, Gracie Gore; Newt Ard; Wyatt Ebert; and Zoe Ebert, all of Silsbee; grandparents, Marilyn and Jerome Welch of Lumberton; Wayne Ard and his wife, Tousha, of Silsbee; Debra Rawls and her husband, Charles, of Silsbee; and Tim Skaggs and his wife, Robin, of Lumberton; great- grandmother, Delphia Cansler of Lumberton; aunts and uncles, Jared Welch of Lumberton; Ashlyn Kilpatrick and her husband, Stephen, of Silsbee; Heath Ard and his wife, Carli, of Silsbee; Jacob Ard of Silsbee; Latonya Ard of Buna; and Zach Ard of Silsbee; nephews, Riddick Welch, Rexton Welch and Denver Vinson; nieces, Aspyn Vinson, Aria Welch and Hazley Ard; cousins, Brandon Rice and Hunter McNeil, both of Lumberton; and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his sister, Addie Ard; and grandparents, Janie and John Boykin, Sue Gray, Gloria and Milton Welch, and Ted Skaggs.
A gathering of Draden’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His interment will follow at Boykin Family Cemetery, Lumberton, Texas.

Jennifer, Buddy, Braley, Dathan, Dillon, Dolton, Kensie, Ethan and to the rest of the family. I am so sorry for yall loss. I loved him just like he we my nephew and I am glad that I had a time in his life to watch him grow up. I enjoyed the times that I would come over and spend at the house with yall. I love yall very much. I will miss him dearly.

Dathan, it broke my heart when I heard about Draden. I am so sorry. I will be praying for you and your family. Asking Jesus to comfort you like only he can. Jesus loves you! Don’t ever forget that.

We are all loss for words, but even though our hearts are full of sadness…. They are also full of love and joy to have had Drayden in our lives. He was always so sweet, a lot of respect to all of us!
