We were very privileged to have known Mr. Morrison through our boys’ playing sports. We pray his family will be wrapped in God’s unfailing love as you continue life without him. The only words we can use to describe him is “A VERY, VERY GOOD MAN”. We do not live in Nederland anymore; so we did not get to attend his funeral. We will keep all of you in our prayers.
    In prayer, The Matlocks

I too enjoyed the times that I had with “Bones”. He was a very special person who loved his time with kids coaching and umpiring little league baseball games.

    Condolences to Bones’ Family,
I had the pleasure of having Bones as my Little League manager there in Nederland and the privilege of running into him at sporting events and reunions in Nederland. He was a truly great guy and someone that you were always glad to run into as he always brightened your day.

    Meagan Gearinger Murphy says:

Bones was my first soccer coach and encouraged me to play. He was at a Langham track meet for one of his grandkids and I was running the 100 meter dash. He said in passing “you should play soccer.” He probably didn’t think anything of it but it changed my life. I would have never played if not for that comment and soccer ended up being a great joy from my childhood. He was a wonderful man, role model, and coach. Getting to see him again as an adult at First Methodist Church, he was still the kindest man. He will be missed by so many in his community.

I’ll be praying for his family and loved ones.

Bones touch many kids throughout Nederland by his love of sports. I was proved to have him as a coach. Also being a coach with him on my daughter’s softball team. As well as umpiring with him in baseball and softball games. I am sorry i missed his funeral because I was at Nederland baseball playoff game in Baytown. I got to thinking Bones is watching the game with the best seat in house. Rest in peace my friend. Peace snd prayers for Bones and family. 🙏

    Barry, Garry and Family,
So very sorry to hear of the passing of your father.
We met for the 1st time when we started the church softball league at Brad Park in the late 80’s. First Methodist was one of the original participants with “Bones” (and Charlie Ingraham) coaching and playing some as well. What a pleasure is was getting to know him (and ya’ll). Our condolences go out the entire family during this difficult time. He will be missed for sure.

    Susan Wisenbaker (Jeffcoat) says:

I am so sorry to hear of “Bones” passing. He was so involved in Nederland youth sports when my children were growing up. He was my son’s first soccer coach and he gave him a great and loving introduction to the sport. We traveled to England together to follow my son and his grandson Will on a fabulous soccer adventure!! He was always full of stories and such a positive influence on the youth sports community
