Edgar Joe Smith

Edgar Joe Smith, 93, of Wildwood, died Sunday, February 1, 2026. He was born on November 27, 1932, in Orange, to Stella Mae Peet Smith and Arthur Smith.

Survivors include his loving wife, Carol Smith of Wildwood; daughter, Laura D. Howard and her husband, Jim, of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren, Lee Sooter; Marjorie Brigance and her husband, Clay; and Tony Howard and his wife, Caroline, all of St. Louis, Missouri; and six great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife of fifty-six years, Jimmy Ann Smith; and son, Edgar Joe Smith, Jr.

A celebration of Mr. Smith’s life will be 11:30 a.m., Monday, February 16, 2026, at Wildwood Community Church, 5943 FM 3063, Village Mills. Interment of his cremated body to follow at Bland Cemetery, 12575 I-10, Orange, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His cremation arrangements were handled through. Broussard’s Crematorium.
