Edward B. Arredondo

August 9, 1948 - April 12, 2021

Edward B. Arredondo, 72, of Beaumont, died in his home surrounded by family, Monday, April 12, 2021. He was born on August 9, 1948, in Corpus Christi, to Mary Briones Arredondo and Eugenio Zapata Arredondo.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Arredondo, of Beaumont; children, Donna Hammer, of Woodville; Vanessa Arredondo, of Beaumont; Edward Arredondo, Jr., of Beaumont; and Brittany Langston and her husband, Denver, of Beaumont; stepson, “Bobby” Perkins; sisters, Tina Henslee and her husband Jimmy, of Beaumont; Carmen Leddy and her husband, Martin, of Houston; Christine Dawson and her husband, Doyle, of Beaumont; and Gloria Vazquez, of Beaumont; brothers, Ernest; Joe; Alfred; and Louis Arredondo; grandchildren, Kevin Hammer and his wife, Brittany; David Hammer; Joshua Gonzales; Breanna Bussinger; Isabella Mitchell; Marianna Garcia; Oaklyn Langston; Kaitlin Wilson; and Alyssa Arredondo; and numerous nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Eugenio Arredondo; brother, Eugene, Jr.; and sisters, Rosa Arredondo; Eugenia Arredondo Soto; and Marie Lydia Arredondo.

Edward served the Beaumont Auto Industry for fifty years as owner and operator of A&R Body Shop and A&R Towing. He worked very hard his entire life to establish himself and leave a legacy for his children. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Edward was an amazing father, grandfather, and friend. He was known for always trying to put a smile on your face and loved to tell jokes and stories. Many people looked up to Eddie. He left this world too soon, but we know he is in a better place, and we will not forget all of the memories we made with him.

A gathering of Mr. Arredondo’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Gospel Tabernacle, 7880 Washington Boulevard, Beaumont, with his interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.

The family would like to invite anyone that would like to join in Eddie’s “Last Ride”. Eddie will be carried on the back of his truck in a procession to Magnolia Cemetery. All vehicles that would like to join the lineup are welcome.

Eddie was my Brother in Christ and my Brother in life. He was my Brother for 61 years. My goodness Buddy... all the memories we made. I am so happy you have achieved what the rest of us are trying to accomplish . Eternal life with our Heavenly Father. I know you are rejoicing with your family members in heaven.
