Elizabeth Evens

October 19, 1952 - September 14, 2021

Elizabeth (Libby) Edwards Evens was born in Russellville, Arkansas on October 19, 1952, to Mr. and Mrs. John (Juanita) Edwards. She passed on September 14, 2021, in St. Elizabeth hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents and the love of her life and husband of 49 years, Pat Evens. She is survived by daughters Kimberly Evens Schroeder (Billy Schroeder) of Nome and Karen Evens of Apache Junction, Arizona; Grandchildren Jon Evens, Zane Irick, Dillon Schroeder, Brooke, Libby, and Slade Schroeder.

Libby was a kind loving person who always greeted everyone with a smile and a big hug to share. She created and cherished beautiful friendships throughout her life’s journey. Libby was an athlete in her young life and continued her love of sports and competition. She was the number one fan of her children and grandchildren’s sports and activities never missing an opportunity to support them and cheer them on. Libby and Pat shared a beautiful life together for 49 years enjoying many adventures including entrepreneurship, but the family was always first. Libby was a woman of deep faith who walked and shared her strong faith in God with friends and family. She was the first to help you overcome your problems and her strength and courage will guide and remain in the hearts of all who knew her for years to come.

A gathering of Mrs. Evens’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 17, 2021, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
