Elliott “eD” Grillo
Elliott “eD” Grillo, 40, of Beaumont, TX passed away Monday, October 20, 2025.
He was born December 13, 1984, to Terry Lynn Ransonette Grillo and Daniel Paul Grillo, in Port Arthur.
Elliott attended both Amelia and Sallie Curtis Elementary Schools, as well as Marshall Middle School. Throughout his youth, he was active in a variety of different sports including t-ball, Little League, and taekwondo, where he made many lifelong friends. He particularly excelled in gymnastics, participating in various competitions, winning multiple accolades, and exhibiting immense natural skill in the sport. He was a 2003 graduate of West Brook High School in Beaumont where he was a member of the cheerleading team, an outlet to showcase his gift for gymnastics.
Elliott worked for many years in the Beaumont restaurant industry, rising through the ranks to manager and building many lasting friendships in the region. A lifelong artist and illustrator, he achieved a personal dream in June of 2025 by graduating with his Associate’s Degree of Applied Science in Computer Drafting Technology from Lamar Institute of Technology with Magna Cum Laude honors.
In 2011, eD’s first daughter, Isabelle, entered this world. Thus began the greatest joy of his life: the opportunity to be the ultimate “Girl Dad.” His second daughter, Freya, joined us two years later, followed in 2016 by Nadia and in 2021 by Winter. eD’s girls were his whole entire world and the source of immense pride in his life. He melted around them, doing anything he could to make them happy, and prized the time he spent making innumerable beautiful memories with them. Among these most treasured activities included creating YouTube videos together, assembling Lego sets, cooking for his daughters, and watching movies as a family. Elliott valued every moment with his children and will be remembered forever as an adoring father and caregiver.
In his personal time, Elliott enjoyed stargazing and comet-watching, vacationing at the beach, gaming, camping, and nerding out about philosophy, anime, DnD, fantasy, and many other topics. Elliott had a famously contagious and comforting laugh that he shared like a gift. His heart was as massive as his intellect, and his passing leaves an irreparable tear in the universe.
Survivors include his daughters, Isabelle Grillo, Freya Grillo, and Winter Grillo, and mother of his children, Maritza Grillo, all of Buna, TX; father, Dan Grillo, brother, Alec Grillo, and grandmother, Bettie Grillo, all of Beaumont; sister, Katie Grillo, of Austin; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, close friends, and colleagues.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Terry Grillo and daughter, Nadia Grillo.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Spindletop Center, 655 South 8th Street, Beaumont, Texas 77701.
A gathering of Mr. Grillo’s family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m. (central time) with his memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
