Elreiana Fontenot

Elreiana Fontenot, 87, of Winnie, died Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at The Arboretum of Winnie, Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born November 21, 1933, in Devers, to Nora Breaux and Antime “AJ” Henry. She was a faithful member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Winnie and enjoyed flying to Las Vegas, Nevada with her daughters to play Power Bingo.

Survivors include her daughters, Caroline Crone Dale and her husband, Mickey; and Sherian Keener and her husband, Keith; sons, Jerry Fontenot and his wife, Gretchen; and Kenny Fontenot and his wife, Terry; grandchildren, Brad Crone and his wife, Michelle; Rusty Crone and his wife, Lisa; Kevin Keener and his wife, Ashley; Kyle Keener and his wife, Summer; Shera Starnes; Grant Kirk; Taylor Gentz and her husband, Austen; great-grandchildren, Tyler; Tanner; Alston and his wife, Britnee; Raegen; and Russ Crone; Kyson; Adellie; Kayden; Korbyn; and Kash Keener; Matlin; Morgan; and Kenna Starnes; Raven; Phoenix; Talon; and Piper Kirk; and Rylan Fontenot; great-great-granddaughters, Logyn, Rhyan, and Brixxon Crone; brothers, Hubert Henry and his wife, Mary Lou; L.B. Henry and his wife, Faye; Helen Henry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, S.D. Fontenot; brother and sister-in-law, Elroy and Wanda Henry.

A Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m., with a gathering of Mrs. Fontenot’s family and friends to follow until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, with her interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, Texas 77665.
