Elsie Lee Swor

Elsie Lee Swor, 93, of Winnie, died Wednesday, April 12, 2023. She was born July 14, 1929, in Fannett, to Leah Carr Hargraves and Harry Hargraves.

Survivors include her son, Billy Swor and wife, Diana; daughter, Betty Whitehead and husband, Lee; granddaughters, Tiffany Swor and Madison Swor; grandsons, Cade Swor and wife, Sarah; Brad Whitehead and wife, April; and Taylor Whitehead and wife, Lauren; great-granddaughter, Kellan Swor; and great-grandson, Knox Swor.

She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-eight years, Ted Edwin Swor; parents, Leah Carr Hargraves and Harry Hargraves; brother, Lawrence Hughes; and sisters, Nannie Bee Alvarez; Lena Blanch Carley; and Mae Ruth.

A gathering of Mrs. Swor’s family and friends will begin at 1:30 p.m., with her funeral service at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at First Baptist Church, 25304 TX-124, Hamshire, under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
