Emmanuel “Manny” Ibarra
Emmanuel “Manny” Ibarra, 19, of Beaumont, Texas, met his Lord and savior Jesus Christ on September 25, 2023.
Manny was born in Beaumont, Texas, in 2004, the youngest of seven siblings, all brothers. His young and short life was spent in this small town of Beaumont where he enjoyed the fellowship of his friends and family. He attended school in Beaumont ISD and graduated from Beaumont United High School in 2022.
As a child, Emmanuel aspired to be in the military like his older brothers. He enjoyed fast cars, playing the guitar and his favorite superhero was Batman. After graduation Emmanuel planned to go to the US Marine Corps and pursue a career as a mechanic. His sense of duty and commitment to his family led him to put a hold on the military.
“Manny” began working as ground maintenance personnel for Fluor Federal Petroleum Operations. Manny loved to work with his hands, he loved to go fishing and hunting, and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Manny would constantly work on his car, upgrading aftermarket parts and driving with his friends.
Emmanuel had many friends who he kept constant company with. They enjoyed time at graduation parties, holiday parties, fishing trips and car shows. Among his friends Emmanuel was looked up to as the one who “always knew what to do.”
Emmanuel will always be remembered for his enthusiasm, courage, and loving smile. The love he showed to his nieces and nephews and little cousins will never be forgotten. He was great with children and an awesome babysitter.
Emmanuel is preceded in death by his brother, Gilbert Ibarra and survived by his parents, Gerardo and Sara Ibarra; brothers, Jesus Ibarra, Harvey Ibarra, Isaiah Ibarra, Elias Ibarra, and Isaac Ibarra; a number of cousins, aunts, uncles; and grandfather, Solomon Puente.
A gathering of Emmanuel’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 29, 2023, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont, with his interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
