Erlinda Baldevia (Mama Da), 78, of Beaumont, died October 14, 2021, at Memorial Hermann Medical Center, in Houston. She was born October 17, 1942, in Cadiz City, Philippines, to Genoveva Asibal Alvarez and Cesar Alvarez.

She is survived by her daughters, Ma Aileen Catedral and her husband, Alfredo, of Beaumont; and Maria Yvonne Baldevia, of Philippines; sons, Oscar Baldevia, Jr. and his wife, Ma Resa, of Virginia; Christopher Baldevia and his wife, Kristine, of San Antonio; and grandchildren, Atricia and Ailes, Alex and Anya, Shania, Carson, and Savannah, Kacie Mae, and Gavin Christopher.

Erlinda is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Baldevia, Sr. and her parents, Cesar Alvarez and Genoveva Asibal.

A gathering of Erlinda’s family and friends will begin 2:00 p.m., with her Catholic funeral service at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A second gathering will begin 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 22, 2021, at Calvary Baptist Church, 3650 Dowlen Road, Beaumont.
