It is still shocking to think you are gone from this life. We met early in my sobriety and hung out quite a bit. Ernie played a big part in my life by being my friend and going to meetings and conferences together. He will be greatly missed.
I am so sorry to hear of Ernie’s passing. I first met him about 13 years ago when we attended the same church. He was always so nice and kind. Later, we both realized that his dad lived across the street from me, so we would visit a bit if I was outside when he would come for visits with his dad. He was such a gentle and kind man. I send my condolences to the family.
I didn’t know Ernie personally other than he worked at Motiva with one of my brothers. And went to school with my oldest brother. He was very kind to our family during the loss of my niece as well as the loss of my mother. My thoughts and prayers are with all those who loved and cherished him.
Hey buddy, it was an honor and a privilege to get to know you at work. I cannot thank you enough for all you did for me and my struggle for sobriety. You were always there to be a listening ear and give wise advice. I am a better man because of you. Rest in Peace my Friend.
Time, or distance or even the untimely departure will never lessen the true brotherly love that we shared with each other. He helped like nobody helped. He gave like nobody gave and he loved like nobody loved. A true friend, a strong man and an amazing father. He will be loved and missed by all that knew him. His infectious laugh will forever be heard in my ears..
