Esther Rico
Esther Rico, 88, of Winnie, died Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Spindletop Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 13, 1935, in San Antonio, to Concepcion Diaz Rico and Luis Rico.
Survivors include her son, Robert Rodriguez and wife, Linda, of Winnie; daughter, Barbara Broussard and husband, David, of Cibolo; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Amalia Rico; Manuel Rico; and Gilberto Rico.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Celia Rico.
A gathering of Ms. Rico’s family and friends will be 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.

My sweet Esther, it’s with a sad heart I have to say goodbye to you. You did my hair for years. You would open your shop for me when ever I’d come. I would dive 125 miles to get my hair cut and fixed. Your the only one I trusted. God bless you sweetie may you rest peacefully in God’s arm now.
